It started in a small home kitchen on North Avenue. Marcus Webb, a former line cook with a lifelong obsession for chicken wings, spent three years perfecting his signature dry-rub blend and double-fry technique before daring to serve it to anyone outside his family.

In 2018, Wing Snob opened its doors to the Oak Park community — a no-frills operation with one mission: to make the most craveable, boldly flavored wings in the Chicago area. Word spread fast. Within six months, there were lines around the block.

Today, Wing Snob remains proudly rooted in Oak Park, still using the same hand-crafted sauces and freshly sourced ingredients that made those first wings legendary. We haven't taken shortcuts. We never will.

2015

The Obsession Begins

Marcus Webb starts experimenting with wing recipes in his home kitchen, testing dry rubs and house-made sauces on friends and family. The double-fry method is born.

2017

Pop-Up Launch

Wing Snob debuts as a weekend pop-up at the Oak Park Farmers Market. Lines form within the first hour. All 300 wings sell out by noon. The community notices.

2018

Brick & Mortar Opens

Wing Snob opens its first permanent location at 7115 W North Ave, Oak Park. Within six months, it becomes one of the top-rated food spots in the Chicago suburban area.

2020

Pivoting & Growing

When the world shifted to takeout, Wing Snob adapted swiftly — launching online ordering, catering packages, and contactless delivery. Customer loyalty surged through the challenge.

2022

Sauce Line Launched

Wing Snob introduces a bottled sauce line — six signature flavors available for retail. The Gold Honey Garlic and Smoky Chipotle varieties become immediate fan favorites.

2024

Franchise Program
